New Delhi: A big demonstration of opposition was seen in Delhi on Tuesday. INDIA alliance MPs left for the march from Makar Gate of Parliament to the Election Commission office at 10:48 am. In this march, Congress, Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party, Mamata Banerjee's TMC, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Naveen Patnaik's Biju Janata Dal participated. Seeing this demonstration, the police had already put up barricades near Akashvani Bhawan and deployed heavy forces.
The march came very close to the Election Commission
As soon as the march reached very close to the election house, the police stopped it. The opposition MPs sat on the road and started raising slogans like 'vote thief Gaddi chhod' and 'gali gali mein shor hai'. During this time, the crowd is being monitored with drones and water bottles have been delivered to the spot as the protest is likely to last longer.
Where is Rahul Gandhi after climbing the barricade?
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi climbed the barricade with the tricolor in his hand. According to media reports, the police bus that came to take him into custody got stuck in the crowd. After this Rahul went inside Akashvani Bhavan to meet the employees. According to the latest information, he has come out of the building and is preparing to go towards the Election Commission again, while the police is standing outside to take him into custody.

Police took Akhilesh Yadav, Priyanka also into custody
Police intensified the action and took many big faces into custody. At 12:18 pm, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav was taken away in a bus, along with TMC's Derek O'Brien and Abhishek Banerjee. Exactly five minutes later at 12:23, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was also detained. Earlier, Priyanka was leading the march with Supriya Sule.
What is the demand of the opposition?
The opposition is attacking the Election Commission regarding SIR. Congress MP Nasir Hussain said that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar should resign, SIR should be ended and the voters whose names have been deleted should be added back. There is also a demand for a high-level investigation into the entire matter. Meanwhile, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the INDIA alliance is fighting against SIR.
