'Just like you go to Eidgah, come here too', posters put up outside Akhilesh's house before the Krishna Mandir Dharma Sansad.

Dharam Sansad Mathura: Some posters put up overnight on the streets of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, have created a new stir in the politics of the state. International Parliament of Religions is going to be organized on October 4 with the resolution of building a grand temple at the birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna in Mathura. Just before this big religious gathering, an invitation has been sent to Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in a direct manner. These posters, put up at major intersections of the city and especially outside Akhilesh Yadav's residence, have sparked a huge discussion from political circles to the common people.

Posters with direct questions put up outside Akhilesh Yadav's residence

This poster campaign has been launched under the leadership of Women's Wing President of Vishwa Hindu Raksha Parishad Priyanka Thakur and State President Badal Yadav. These posters have not only invited the event, but have also directly raised questions on the political stance of the SP chief. The picture of Sudarshan Chakradhari form of Lord Shri Krishna has been shown in the poster, which is directly seen giving the message of protection of religion and struggle.

The words written in the poster are very direct and sharp. It is written in it that Respected Akhilesh Yadav ji, International Parliament of Religions is going to be organized in Lucknow for the construction of a grand temple of our adorable Lord Shri Krishna in Mathura. It is hoped that just as you go to Eidgah on the occasion of Eid for the sake of Muslim votes, in the same way you will also reach the Parliament of this religion. The poster further appeals to support Sanatan Samaj by taking an open stand of removing the marks of foreign invaders and building a grand temple there. Along with this, the old famous slogan has also been written on the poster, in which it has been said that Ayodhya and Kashi were only the beginning, now the resolution of Mathura is yet to be fulfilled.

Increasing demand for a grand temple in Mathura on the lines of Ayodhya

Behind this entire development is a long standing demand, under which the Hindu society wants to see a huge and divine temple in Mathura like the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple of Ayodhya. Organizers and Hindu organizations associated with Dharma Sansad say that the Sanatan tradition has been going on since time immemorial and it is based on the spirit of welfare of the entire world. He believes that whether it was the era of Mughals or the British rule, despite many efforts, the roots of Sanatan never weakened. Organizers say that now the time has come to return the original birthplace of Lord Krishna with its full dignity and divinity, so that the religious faith of crores of people can be fully respected.

Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah dispute at court's doorstep

This whole matter is not limited to just statements or posters, but its legal battle is being fought very strongly in the big courts of the country. The case of Shri Krishna birthplace in Mathura and the adjacent Shahi Idgah mosque is currently pending in the Allahabad High Court. The High Court had already made it clear in one of its important decisions that the cases filed by the Hindu side cannot be stopped by the provisions of time limit, Waqf Act or Places of Worship Act 1991.

It is noteworthy that the Places of Worship Act prohibits changing the form of any religious place since August 15, 1947, but the Hindu side argues that this place has been the birthplace of Lord Krishna since ancient times. The Hindu side has filed a total of 18 separate petitions in the court, demanding removal of the entire structure of the Shahi Idgah Mosque, handing over the possession of the land and re-establishment of the original temple there. The historical claim of the Hindu side is that during the time of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb, the ancient temple built at the birthplace of Lord Krishna was demolished and the Shahi Idgah Mosque was forcibly built there.

Uttar Pradesh politics heated up from Lucknow to Mathura

This poster controversy, which came up before the Dharma Sansad, which is going to be held on October 4, has put the Samajwadi Party in an uncomfortable situation. Opposition parties have often accused the Samajwadi Party of appeasing a particular class, and now through this poster an attempt has been made to directly connect the party leadership with the sentiments of the Hindu public. Political analysts believe that as the date of Dharma Sansad approaches, political rhetoric on this issue may become more intense. Now everyone's eyes are on whether Akhilesh Yadav gives any reply to this open invitation or considers it to be just a political move and keeps distance from it.
