Alert of storm and heavy rain in Delhi in next 2 hours, IMD gave update
New Delhi: There is a sign of change in the weather in Delhi once again. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert indicating the possibility of rain, strong winds and thunderstorms for the next few hours. According to the department, there may be light to moderate rain in various parts of the capital, while there is a possibility of strong winds and lightning at many places.
What does the weather department say?
The Meteorological Department says that during the next two hours the weather may change suddenly in the entire Delhi area. During this period, strong winds are expected to blow at a speed of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour. People have been advised to remain alert in view of the possibility of rain and lightning along with thunder.
In the weekly forecast released earlier, the Meteorological Department had said that at present there is no possibility of severe heat conditions in Delhi. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 40 degrees Celsius throughout the week, while light rains and strong winds from time to time can provide relief to people from the heat and humidity.
On June 24, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 40 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius. The day will be partly cloudy with thunderstorms likely to develop. On June 25, the maximum temperature is expected to be 39 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 28 degrees Celsius. The weather will be generally cloudy and no special warning is required.
More changes may be seen in the weather on 26th and 27th June. There is a possibility of rain with thunder on both these days. The temperature may remain around 40 degrees Celsius, but people are expected to get relief due to rain and winds.
The weather is likely to remain relatively stable on June 28, while on June 29, rain and thunderstorm activities may once again be seen. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 39 to 40 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 29 degrees Celsius.
What do weather experts believe?
Weather experts believe that due to the influence of western disturbance and local weather conditions, the heat wave will remain limited in Delhi-NCR this week also. Movement of clouds, strong winds and intermittent rains will help in keeping the weather relatively pleasant.
