Allegations of irregularities in offerings in Badrinath, temple committee strict, investigation started, employees interrogated
Tezzbuzz Desk –Amidst the allegations of alleged irregularities related to donations in Ayodhya Ram temple, now serious allegations have also come to light regarding another major pilgrimage site of the country, Badrinath Dham. It is being claimed on social media that there have been irregularities in offerings and donations in Badrinath temple, which has created a stir.
Temple committee took immediate action
After the matter came to light, the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) immediately took cognizance and issued orders for investigation. Committee Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said that the allegations have been taken very seriously and the entire matter will be investigated impartially and transparently.
He clarified that clarification has been sought from all the employees related to the allegations. It has also been said that if any kind of irregularity is proved in the investigation, then strict action will be taken against the culprits and no one will be spared.
Refutation of private secretary’s claim
Hemant Dwivedi also rejected the claims going on on social media in which an employee was being described as his personal secretary. He clarified that the person concerned is a regular government employee of the temple committee and not his personal secretary.
Investigation of CCTV footage started
BKTC Chief Executive Officer Sohan Singh Rangad said that complaints related to this matter were being received since July 2. After this, the CCTV footage of Badrinath temple was examined, although the footage is not completely clear. Despite this, the internal investigation process has been started.
A special investigation team is being formed, which will prepare a detailed report based on all the evidence, CCTV footage and statements of the concerned employees.
Officials have said that if the investigation reveals any financial irregularities or irregularities, then strict legal and departmental action will be taken under the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Act, 1939 and Employee Conduct Rules.
