After the change of government, the BJP government has taken several steps regarding health services keeping in mind the interests of the patients. This time, a special app will be brought for ambulances, said Health Minister Sharadwat Mukherjee. In that app, anyone can see how many ambulances are vacant, how much it costs to go to which hospital, and all the information. This ‘ambulance app’ will be made exactly in the style of cab-bike booking apps.
On the first day of the Badal session on Monday, Health Minister Sharadwat Mukherjee presented a set of plans in the Assembly to revamp the state’s health services and medical infrastructure. He gave a message of developing the state into a world-class medical tourism center by spending several crores of rupees. There, he mentioned the ambulance app. The complaints of the brokers about the ambulance have been going on for a long time. It is said that the idea of launching the app-based service is to solve that problem. There will be 6 water ambulances and 2 floating mobile medical units for the riverine Sundarbans.
Sharadwat Mukherjee said, “There will be a three-tier ambulance. One normal, one medium, one ICU. Life becomes much easier if technology is used properly. This ambulance will have a GPS tracker, so there is no reason to worry about safety. The ambulance will communicate directly with the patient. The government will monitor. So there is no issue of brokers.” When will this app be launched? The Health Minister said that the service will be launched within six months.
