Hours before Gore reached Srinagar, PDP chief and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had also met him and appealed to withdraw America's strict travel advisory. Mehbooba said that thousands of families in the valley are directly dependent on tourism. If America relaxes the advisory, it will give a big boost to the economy here.
