Amethi, Read. At the age when children take sports merely as entertainment, Himanshu Singh of Kharethu village had made cricket his passion. This boy, who used to go to the grounds to watch matches with his grandfather late Bharat Singh at the age of just three years, will now show his talent in the UP T-20 League.
Himanshu has been selected in Lucknow Faltan team. As soon as the news was received, a wave of happiness ran in the village. Family members and villagers celebrated by distributing sweets. Himanshu's uncle Rajendra Singh Bash told that he had special interest in cricket since childhood. Seeing the grandson's enthusiasm, the grandfather got him a bat and a ball. After this, the love for sports gradually turned into passion. Himanshu improved his technique and game by taking training at the Cricket Academy of Lucknow.

His performance while playing at the Ekana Stadium caught the attention of the selectors. The brilliant six hit during the match was also discussed a lot. After continuous better performance, he has now got the opportunity to play in the UP T-20 League. He will be a part of the Lucknow Faltan team led by captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Competition in Kanpur on 29th August
There is excitement in the entire village along with the family due to the selection of Himanshu. The villagers are considering this as a proud moment for Amethi. All eyes are on the match to be held at Kanpur Stadium on 29th August. The family members are hopeful that Himanshu will bring glory to the district with his performance. Grandmother Madhuri, mother Kusum Lata, uncle Rajendra Singh and other family members and villagers expressed happiness over his achievement.
