Surat, August 26, 2026 – A joint venture between Vidya Bharti Institute of Higher Education, Gujarat State and Shri Mahavir Vidya Mandir Trust, Surat, a two-day field teacher workshop on the theme 'Inspired Teacher, Empowered Nation' was successfully organized and concluded. Teachers and educationists associated with the education sector from Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra participated enthusiastically in the workshop. The main objective of the workshop was to develop a national outlook among the teachers and to connect the current educational system with the Indian knowledge tradition, National Education Policy-2020 and modern educational approach.

In the inaugural session of the workshop, Vice Chancellor of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and program chairman Dr. Kishore Singh Chavda, P. P. Provost of Savani University and chief guest Dr. Parag Sanghani, Provost of Public University Prof. Dr. Kiran Pandya and Organization Minister of Vidya Bharati Higher Education Institute Shri K. N. Raghunandanji was present.
During the session, Dr., Chairman of Vidya Bharti Institute of Higher Education, Gujarat Province. Relevant address was given by Rajesh Vyas. In which he said that VBUSS has been started with the aim of taking school education forward more comprehensively and effectively under the guidance of Vidya Bharati Higher Education Institute.
The main objective of VBUSS is to develop a sense of patriotism, patriotism and pride towards Indian culture in the young generation. Efforts will be made through various educational and cultural activities to develop good values, excellent character and moral values among the youth and make them responsible, cultured and nationalistic citizens. Through this initiative, education will not be limited to just acquiring knowledge, but special priority will be given to the all-round development of the youth along with building values, character and national spirit.

Dr. Parag Sanghani ji said, “Teaching is not just a means of earning money; being a teacher is a blessing from God.” In our scriptures the place of Guru is considered supreme. The role of inspirational and cultured teachers is very important for nation building. We have to explain to the world the importance of our Indian rituals and traditions like fasting, Ekadashi, Tilak. It is the responsibility of teachers to convey these values of Indian culture to the new generation. Our goal is to make India a world leader, and to achieve this great goal, every teacher will have to motivate himself and play an active role in building the society and nation.
Objectives of NEP-2020
Apart from this, program chairman Dr. Kishore Singh Chavda in his address said that in today's time the role of a teacher is not limited to just imparting knowledge; Teacher is now the main pillar of student's all-round development, value creation and transformation of the society. To realize the objectives of NEP-2020, continuous professional development of teachers, investigative approach, innovative teaching methods and proper utilization of digital tools are necessary.
Only a motivated, sensitive, innovative and technology-enabled teacher can develop creativity, skills, values and social responsibility in students along with knowledge. Therefore, the teacher himself should keep learning continuously, adopt innovation and make his knowledge useful for the benefit of the society – this is the biggest need of today's education system.
At the end of the program Dr. The vote of thanks was performed by Bhaveshbhai Rawal. He expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries, organizers, expert speakers and teachers present who contributed to the success of the workshop. During the two-day field teacher workshop, many eminent speakers were present to provide guidance and inspirational thoughts on various topics. In which the Vice Chancellor of Children's University, Shri T. S. Joshi, Shri K. N. Raghunandanji, Shri Rameshbhai Gadhvi, Dr. Rajesh Vyas, Dr. Jignesh Patel, Dr. Bhaveshbhai Rawal, Dr. Dewangbhai Mehta and Dr. Eminent speakers including Sanjay Sharma provided informative and inspirational guidance on the current trends, challenges and various dimensions of the education sector.
In the two-day workshop, guidance was given by expert speakers on various topics like National Education Policy-2020, college management and institutional development plan, change in research through artificial intelligence, effective use of children's literature in education, environmental knowledge and role of teachers in strong nation building.
