New Delhi: A unique mass wedding ceremony was organized on Monday in Iran’s capital Tehran amid ongoing tension and military conflict with America. The ceremony was attended by those couples who had registered themselves in the government-backed scheme, expressing their willingness to make sacrifices in the war for the country. Let us tell you, this program was organized in Imam Hussein Square in central Tehran, where more than 100 couples performed the marriage rituals.

It is being told that many senior leaders including Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and President Masoud Pezeshkian have also registered their names in support of the “self-sacrifice” plan. In a video shared by Mehr news agency, a young woman wearing a white Islamic bridal dress said, “The country is in a state of war, but that does not mean that young people should not have the right to their life and marriage."
