Addressing an election rally at Mayureshwar in Birbhum district, Shah alleged that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was trying to intimidate the majority community in the state. He said that this election is to drive out the infiltrators from the state and the country. He said that the Election Commission has deployed enough central forces in the state to ensure free and fair elections. “Trinamool Congress goons should stay at home on election day or else they will be sent to jail after May 4,” Shah said.

West Bengal Assembly Schedule

The West Bengal Assembly elections are considered to be one of the biggest and most important elections in the country. These elections will not only decide the state government, but will also affect national politics. This election is being conducted in two phases.
