Ahmedabad, 17 May. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, who is on a visit to his home state Gujarat, inaugurated the newly constructed ‘Million Minds Tech Park’ and ‘GREMI City Campus’ in Ahmedabad on Sunday. On this occasion, many dignitaries including Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi were present.

Addressing the program, Amit Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream is to take the country forward in technology and knowledge based economy, which this project will take forward as a major milestone. AI And India’s growing role in deeptech
Shah said that in the last decade, India has emerged as a global leader in areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Tech. He said that the government is rapidly promoting areas like robotics, quantum computing, semiconductor, AI, automation, cyber security, defense and space tech.
Gujarat’s industrial model and development
He said that since 2002, industrial development, infrastructure and ease of doing business have been given a systematic shape in Gujarat. According to him, Gujarat has made strong steps in every field and has made its place among the top states of the country in industrial development.
Target to bring Gujarat among top 3 states in service sector also
Home Minister Shah said that now the target is to bring Gujarat among the top three states in the service sector also. For this, it is necessary to develop Ahmedabad at par with cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Gurugram. He said that Tech Park and Global Capability Center will play an important role in this direction.
‘Features of ‘Million Minds Tech Park’
Developed at a cost of approximately Rs 1100 crore, this tech park is spread over an area of 13.5 lakh square feet. Its first phase will provide a modern work environment for 9,000 high-skilled professionals. It is targeted to create more than 63,000 high-value jobs with an investment of approximately Rs 15,000 crore in seven phases over the coming five years. The complex will include commercial space as well as malls, hotels and residential amenities, making it a full-fledged tech hub.

On the inauguration of ‘GREMI City Campus’, Amit Shah said that it is an important initiative in the field of real estate and town planning education. He said that when town planning is not proper, balanced development of cities does not take place. The urban planning reforms of the Modi government have ushered in a new era in this area. This institute will create modern thinking and efficient leadership in the real estate sector of the country in future.

Amit Shah said that AI and deep tech are the backbone of the future economy. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is moving towards global leadership in these emerging areas.
