Expenses will increase in running mobile towers

To keep any mobile tower running continuously, electricity and diesel are required. It is said that about 40 percent of the total cost of running the tower is spent only on electricity and fuel. Due to increase in diesel prices, companies will now have to spend more money than before, which will increase their costs.

Financial pressure will increase on telecom companies

Lakhs of mobile towers are working across the country. In such a situation, due to increase in the price of diesel, big telecom companies may have to spend hundreds of crores of additional rupees every year. In particular, 5G towers use more electricity and backup fuel, so they can be even more expensive to run.
