Ampere Launches Magnus Neo Electric Scooter; A range of 118 km is available on a full charge.
New Delhi : Greaves Electric Mobility has launched its updated electric scooter Ampere Magnus Neo in India. The company has designed the new model to improve day-to-day use rather than major changes. The e-scooter will give a range of 118 km on a full charge and has a top speed of 65 kmph. It has been priced at Rs 86,999 ex-showroom in Delhi.
In India, it will compete with Bajaj Chetak and Aether Rizta. The company has made some important changes to the ergonomics of the Manas Neo, so that the rider feels less tired. The scooter has a redesigned seat for comfortable long journeys. It now has a seat height of 777 mm, which is comfortable even for people of short stature. It gets 10-inch rear wheels. The total weight of the scooter is 103 kg. Its light weight makes it very easy to maneuver and park in traffic.

The Ampere Magnus Neo features a 2.3kWh LFP (Lithium Ferrous Phosphate) battery pack for performance. According to the company, this scooter offers a range of 118 km under the Indian Driving Cycle (IDC). However, its real world range is around 85-90 km in Eco mode. The top speed of the scooter is 65 km per hour. It takes about 5 hours to charge from 0 to 80% with the help of an off-board charger.
Hardware and Features
The Magnus Neo offers a good mix of basic but essential features. Ampere has also improved its wheel and motor configuration, which now gives the rider smoother acceleration and better stability. It features telescopic front forks and monoshock rear suspension for better ride quality. which is based on the old dual-frame chassis. For braking, both the wheels get drum brakes. The scooter features a 3.-inch LCD instrument console, an all-LED lighting setup and a USB port for mobile charging.
