An important conversation between PM Modi and US President Trump, many key issues were discussed

There was a conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump. Prime Minister Modi himself made this announcement on his social media handle X. PM Modi said that he had a fruitful conversation with President Trump. He said he reviewed our cooperation in trade, defence, energy, vital technology and other areas.

PM Modi said we agreed to maintain close contact to advance our “comprehensive global strategic partnership”. We also exchanged views on regional and international issues, including ongoing efforts to promote global peace and security.

It may be mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi met US President Donald Trump during the G7 Summit in Evian, France. The two leaders held bilateral talks, which discussed Indo-US relations, trade and efforts for peace in West Asia. Prime Minister Modi appreciated President Trump’s efforts to broker a peace deal with Iran. He said that the progress towards peace in West Asia gave a new ray of hope and hoped that this peace would last.

During the conversation, PM Modi also mentioned the importance of Strait of Hormuz. He said that keeping this sea route open is important to the entire world, and has a significant impact on the global economy. The Prime Minister also raised the issue of safety of Indian ships and their crews. He said that lakhs of Indian seafarers are employed in different parts of the world and contribute to global trade. Therefore, their safety is very important. PM Modi hoped that safety of ships and their crews would be given priority in the deal with Iran.
