Female drug supplier arrested by Jammu and Kashmir PoliceJ&K Police
A girl from Anantnag district was arrested by police with heroin and was allegedly running a narco-terror module in different districts of South Kashmir. According to police, she was involved in supplying narcotics to drug peddlers, who allegedly sold the drugs to addicts.
According to police, after receiving inputs about the suspicious activities of the girl, a naka was laid at Upper Market, Qazigund, near the Town Hall. During the naka checking, a woman was intercepted after she was found moving under suspicious circumstances.
During a search of her bag, police recovered a heroin-like substance, which was allegedly concealed in a black polythene packet.
The accused woman was identified as Aqsa Bashir, daughter of Bashir Ahmad Dar and a resident of Hardpora Akinpora, Anantnag.
Initial reports suggested that the woman was allegedly running a narco-terror module in South Kashmir and was one of the main suppliers of drugs to addicts in the region.
Following the recovery, FIR No. 221/2026 was registered at Police Station Qazigund under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act, and further investigation was initiated.

In a separate operation, police established a dynamic naka near the North Portal of the Navyug Tunnel, where personnel of Police Post Navyug Tunnel intercepted a silver-coloured Swift Dzire bearing registration number JK09E-9019.
During checking of the vehicle, police said they recovered 170 grams of heroin from the possession of two occupants.
The duo was identified as Imran Mir, son of Mohd Akram Mir, and Muhbat Dar, son of Maqsood Ahmed Dar, both residents of Karnah in Kupwara district.
Both individuals were arrested, and FIR No. 222/2026 was registered at Police Station Qazigund under Sections 8/21/29 of the NDPS Act.
Police said the investigation was underway to determine the source of the recovered contraband and trace its supply network, besides establishing the involvement of any other persons allegedly associated with the drug-trafficking network.
SSP Kulgam Ananyat Ali Choudhary said Kulgam Police would continue its sustained campaign against the illegal drug trade and initiate stringent legal action against persons found involved in narcotics-related activities.
The SSP also urged citizens to remain vigilant and share credible information regarding drug trafficking or the movement of narcotics with the police.
Police assured that the identities of informants would be kept confidential.
