Reese delivers perfect shooting performance

Angel Reese produced a flawless shooting night as the Atlanta Dream routed the Los Angeles Sparks 124-88 on Thursday.

Reese made all nine of her field-goal attempts, including two 3-pointers.

She finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, narrowly missing a triple-double.

Reese scored 18 of her points during the first half.

Reese reaches several milestones

The performance gave Reese her WNBA-leading 25th double-double of the season.

She set an Atlanta franchise record for the most field goals made in a game without a miss.

Reese also became only the third player in WNBA history to record a 20-point double-double while shooting 100% from the floor.

She is four double-doubles away from matching Alyssa Thomas’ WNBA single-season record of 28, established in 2023.

Offensive rebounding record falls

Reese collected three offensive rebounds during the first half.

That total allowed her to break her own WNBA single-season record of 172 offensive rebounds, which she set in 2024.

The achievement added to a historic night after Reese had recently struggled to convert shots near the basket.

Dream establish franchise scoring record

Atlanta’s 124 points established a franchise record for scoring in a single game.

The Dream led by as many as 42 points and reached 100 with 8:10 remaining.

Rhyne Howard led Atlanta with 26 points and made five 3-pointers.

Naz Hillmon contributed 14 points, while Allisha Gray added 13.

The Dream improved to 23-13 and extended their winning streak against Los Angeles to eight games.

Sparks eliminated from playoff race

Cameron Brink led the Sparks with 14 points off the bench.

Rae Burrell scored 12 points, while Nneka Ogwumike finished with 11.

Los Angeles fell to 12-24 and was eliminated from playoff contention.

Object thrown onto court interrupts play

The game was briefly stopped with 2:59 remaining in the third quarter after a sex toy was thrown onto the court.

The object landed near Jihyun Park as she prepared to attempt a free throw for Los Angeles.

Up next

The Dream will visit Phoenix on Saturday.

The Sparks will host Connecticut the same day.
