Kulgam: On Friday evening, terrorists attacked non-local labourers in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. One labourer was killed in this attack, while another was seriously injured. According to the information, terrorists suddenly opened fire on two non-local labourers in Kellam area of ​​Kulgam district of South Kashmir. After being shot, both the injured were immediately taken to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared one labourer dead.

Meanwhile, due to the critical condition of the other injured worker, he has been referred to Government Medical College, Anantnag, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Security has been tightened in the entire area following the incident.

The victims were identified as Deepak and Bhupendra Kumar, both from Chhattisgarh
. Deepak was pronounced dead at the hospital, while Bhupendra Kumar is being treated for his injuries.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and
launched a search operation to locate the terrorists involved. Searches are also underway in the surrounding areas to identify the terrorists involved in the attack as soon as possible. Security agencies are currently investigating all aspects of the attack and the search for the terrorists is ongoing.

Altaf Thakur condemned the attack.
BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur strongly condemned the terrorist attack. He described it as a “cowardly, barbaric and inhuman act” aimed at disturbing peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement, Thakur expressed deep sorrow over the death of the innocent laborer and extended his condolences to the victim’s family. He also wished the injured laborer a speedy recovery. Thakur said, “Terrorism has no religion, no humanity, and no justification. The brutal murder of an innocent laborer who had come to Jammu and Kashmir to earn an honest living is a heinous crime that must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. Such barbaric acts are an attack on humanity and the centuries-old traditions of brotherhood and hospitality for which Kashmir is known.”

Meanwhile, a black car without a number plate has been reported fleeing a traffic police checkpoint in Srinagar. A video of this incident is rapidly going viral on social media.
