Sambit Patra said- Rahul Gandhi is trying to create an atmosphere of anarchy, lies, deceit and confusion in the country.
New Delhi. The BJP on Tuesday criticized opposition alliance 'India''s march to the Election Commission demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, claiming it was another attempt by the Congress and its allies to create chaos and re-launch Rahul Gandhi.
Party spokesperson Sambit Patra criticized Gandhi and accused him of trying to spread confusion and promote his own politics by misquoting the Supreme Court.
Referring to the hearing on a public interest litigation (PIL) held in the Supreme Court on Monday, Patra said that the court did not say that Form-6 was illegal. Earlier, Gandhi had claimed on Twitter that it has now been established beyond doubt that the CEC changed Form-6 illegally and unilaterally.
People use Form-6 to add names to the voter list. The BJP MP said, the Supreme Court did not make any such statement. He has only issued notices. The hearing has not even taken place yet. The Chief Justice (CJI) has said that the case will be investigated when the hearing takes place. Yet, Rahul Gandhi is trying to create an atmosphere of anarchy, lies, deceit and confusion in the country.
He said that Gandhi is trying to promote his politics by citing the court and is misquoting it. He said, Congress has been repeatedly trying to launch and re-launch Rahul Gandhi in every possible way. When, despite several attempts, he failed to hold his own, the Congress and some of its allies decided that even if it meant resorting to anarchy and undermining the country's democracy, they would launch Rahul Gandhi politically at any cost.
As part of these efforts, Patra said, they have from time to time attacked the Indian Army, the Supreme Court, Hindus and EVMs (electronic voting machines). And for the last few weeks, he has been attacking the Election Commission.
