Earlier, CCPA had sought answers from Apple on these problems, when they came to light and the steps taken to fix them.
CCPA had sent a notice to Apple about a year ago asking for detailed information on technical problems related to iOS 18. The authority had asked Apple when these technical flaws came to light and what steps the company took to remove them. Now, as these problems continue, the CCPA has started a detailed investigation into the matter. Official sources have confirmed this. This means that the matter is no longer limited to just seeking information from Apple, but further investigation is being done at the regulatory level regarding consumer complaints.
Amid consumer concerns, a new survey by LocalCircles has also revealed an increase in complaints among iPhone users. The platform said that complaints have increased compared to its previous report released in January 2025. LocalCircles will now share the results of its new survey with the CCPA and other relevant authorities for use in their investigations. The organization has also reiterated its demand for class action against Apple. He says that the affected users have not yet received a proper solution to the problem.
LocalCircles welcomes CCPA taking the matter forward and investigating the terms of Apple's software warranty. However, the organization says that unless steps such as enforceable orders or fines are taken, relief to affected consumers will largely depend on Apple's own priorities and willingness to publicly acknowledge the seriousness of the problem.
