Lucknow. Before the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Congress has made major changes in the state organization. The party has appointed Aradhana Mishra 'Mona' as the new president of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee. He has replaced Ajay Rai. This change has been made in the state organization before the assembly elections.
Aradhana Mishra is the leader of Uttar Pradesh Congress Legislative Party and MLA from Rampur Khas assembly constituency. The party has appointed Saharanpur MP Imran Masood as the working president of the state Congress.
Apart from this, Devendra Nishad and Alok Prasad have been given the responsibility of senior vice presidents. Congress has also mentioned the tenure and contribution of outgoing state president Ajay Rai.
This reshuffle in the state organization has happened before the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Even before this, Congress has made several appointments at the organizational level in Uttar Pradesh, which include making Rajendra Pal Gautam the state in-charge of the party and the appointment of Kunwar Singh Nishad in the media and publicity department.
