New Delhi. A new survey regarding the popularity of US President Donald Trump has increased his problems. According to the latest poll by Reuters/Ipsos, Trump's approval rating has fallen to 33 percent. This is said to be the lowest rating of his current tenure so far.
Only 33 percent of the people who participated in this survey, which lasted for four days, approved of Trump's performance as President. And 67 percent people disapproved of his performance. Earlier in the Reuters/Ipsos survey conducted earlier this month, Trump's approval rating was 35 percent. That means in a short time it has registered a decline of two percent.
Increased concern about war with Iran
The increasing tension with Iran is believed to be one of the biggest reasons behind Trump's falling popularity. According to the survey, a large number of Americans are worried that the conflict between America and Iran may drag on for a long time.
The biggest blow to Trump's popularity this year was when he along with Israel ordered military action against Iran. There has been tension between America and Iran for a long time and no permanent agreement has been reached between the two countries till now.
Initially it seemed that the tension would end soon
After the increase in tension between America and Iran, it was initially expected that the conflict between the two countries might end soon. However, with time the situation became more serious and the military conflict started affecting American politics as well.
At present, there are some signs of reduction in tension between the two countries, but the situation has not become completely normal. In particular, there is concern that the movement of oil through the Strait of Hormuz will be affected. This route is very important in terms of global energy supply.
