‘Are you a robot’, Google will no longer ask familiar questions! This time people will know the tech giant in this way
We are all familiar with CAPTCHA system. But Google is going to change the way it has been known for a long time. Because, the number of bots is increasing by leaps and bounds. Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince has claimed that there are more bots than people on the internet. And so Google’s new steps to deal with the situation.
What is the new step? When the new system starts the browser will ask for permission to access your camera. And then records a short video of your hand movements and sends it to Google for analysis. Then the system will analyze 21 types of hand-landmarks to tell if you are a real person! However, Google has informed that it has nothing to do with the identity of the user. No audio will be recorded in any way. And once the verification phase is over, the video will also be deleted. As a result, there is no possibility of any harm through it.
Apart from this, the company said, this feature is completely optional. It will not replace the image and audio challenge at all. That is, there is still a recognition process to distinguish the bus images among the nine images called ‘identify the bus’. Those who will not agree to do this hand video, they can introduce their ‘humanity’ by adopting the old method.
But why did Google bring such a new feature? It is known that the process of identifying images is being done instantly by automation tools! But gestures like hand movements are very human. However, there has been criticism surrounding this announcement. Many are raising questions about privacy. However, Google assures that the new feature will not violate users’ privacy at all.
