Security tightened in the capital on Eid: Additional forces deployed in sensitive areas

Jaipur. In view of Eid, security arrangements have been tightened in entire Rajasthan including the capital Jaipur on March 21. The police administration seems to be fully alert to maintain peace and harmony in the city.

According to police officials, elaborate arrangements have been made to prevent any untoward incident during Eid. Special surveillance will be maintained at crowded areas and major namaz places.

Additional Police Commissioner Dr. Rajiv Pachar said that sensitive and busy areas of the city will be monitored through drones and CCTV cameras. The activities of the entire city will be monitored from the Abhay Command Center, so that immediate action can be taken in case of any suspicious situation.

The police administration has deployed additional police forces in sensitive areas keeping in mind the other major festivals coinciding with Eid—Chetichand, Gangaur and Ram Navami. Separate security arrangements have been ensured for each event and procession.

Strict action will be taken against those spreading rumors on social media. Police has made it clear that those trying to spoil the atmosphere will not be spared under any circumstances.

Flag march has been taken out by the police in various areas of the city. Besides, security arrangements have been reviewed by surveying with drones and necessary improvements have also been made.

Additional Police Commissioner Dr. Rajeev Pachar said that special arrangements have been made for the big namaz to be held at Idgah. Adequate police force will be deployed here and every activity will be strictly monitored.

The police administration has appealed to the general public to ignore rumors and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police, so that peace and harmony can be maintained in the city.
