Political conflict intensifies over Women’s Reservation Bill, PM Modi will address the nation tonight
New Delhi. The political atmosphere in the country has heated up regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to address the nation tonight at 8:30 pm. Recently the government had brought a Constitution Amendment Bill related to women’s reservation in the Lok Sabha, but it could not be passed.
According to sources, in the cabinet meeting held today, PM Modi took strong words from the opposition on this issue. He said that the failure of the bill in the Lok Sabha is not a defeat for the government, but it is a protest against the rights of women of the country. He accused the opposition of not supporting this important step of women empowerment.
In the meeting, PM Modi also said that if the opposition really wanted to give reservation to women, this step could have been taken in the last several decades. According to him, now it is natural to question the intentions of the opposition on this issue.
The Prime Minister warned that opposing the Women’s Reservation Bill could prove politically damaging for the opposition, as the public is taking the issue seriously. He directed the party leaders to take this message to every village and tell the people the truth of this issue.
Although it is not yet clear what issues the Prime Minister will talk about in his address, but considering the current political situation, it is believed that the issue of Women’s Reservation Bill could be the main focus of his speech.
