Nagpur . Due to bad weather and heavy rains, the flight coming from Bengaluru to Nagpur had to be diverted towards Raipur due to low visibility and strong wind in Nagpur. The pilot landed the plane safely at Raipur airport, giving priority to the safety of the passengers.
IndiGo flight 6E 6003 had departed from Bengaluru at 3:35 pm and was scheduled to reach Nagpur at 4:07 pm but when the flight reached Nagpur airspace, heavy rain and stormy winds started lashing the city. The pilot attempted landing by circling in the sky for some time, but in view of the bad weather conditions on the runway, the aircraft was diverted towards Raipur Airport due to safety reasons. This incident created an atmosphere of panic among the passengers for some time.
