Make soft and sweet banyan and pua
Pua: Vat Savitri fast is observed in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. On this day, women fast for the long life of their husbands. Sweet puas and banyan fruits are made as prasad during Vat Savitri Puja. Banyan tree has special importance in this puja. Banyan fruits are made from sweet dough and offered and later eaten as Prasad. You can prepare pua from wheat flour and jaggery. However, for some people the pua becomes hard, due to which the taste also starts to taste dull. In such a situation, we are telling you special tips which will make the sweet pudding very soft and melt in the mouth.
How to make sweet pua and banyan
First step- To make this, take about 2 cups of wheat flour. Sieve the flour and add 1 teaspoon desi ghee to it. Now dissolve jaggery or sugar in it and add whatever sweet you want. Keep in mind that add only so much water that the sugar dissolves in it.
Second step- Now grind some green cardamom and mix it in flour. Grind some fennel and add grated coconut. Add 2 spoons of desi ghee and sugar or jaggery solution in it and knead the dough like normal roti.
Third Step- Be careful not to add too much sweet because sweet causes the puas to break a little. Now roll the prepared dough into a puri. Prepare the banyan trees to be made for puja by making them small in light round shape or modak shape i.e. like a grape.
Fourth step- Heat ghee or oil on gas and fry them on medium flame. By the way, they are baked just like puris. Some people also call them sweet puri. Roll out all the puas in the same manner and bake.
Very soft and melt-in-the-mouth sweet puas will be ready. You eat them when they cool down. Jaggery pudding becomes very soft. The ghee you add to it further increases its softness. This time during Vat Savitri Puja, definitely try this recipe.
