Prime Minister handed over appointment letters to the youth, said- Youth will play a big role in developed India.

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday handed over appointment letters for central government jobs to more than 51 thousand youth in the 19th employment fair organized through video conferencing.

He said that the youth of the country is going to play an important role in building a developed India and in the coming years, huge employment opportunities will be created in the new economy and technology based sectors.

The Prime Minister said that today is a very important day for thousands of youth and their families across the country. The appointed youth are going to take up new responsibilities in railways, banking, defence, health, education and other sectors and will become responsible partners in the country’s development journey.

Modi said that during his recent visit to five countries, there were detailed discussions with the heads of big companies of the world and everywhere there was enthusiasm about the youth of India and the technological progress of the country.

He said that the world wants to be a part of India’s development journey and India is creating new opportunities for the youth by increasing partnerships with various countries.

The Prime Minister said that areas like clean energy, critical minerals, green hydrogen and sustainable manufacturing are progressing rapidly. India will be strengthened in the clean manufacturing industry of the future by increasing cooperation in green transition and sustainable technology with countries like Sweden, Norway and Italy.

Partnership with UAE and Norway will also strengthen India’s shipbuilding ecosystem, which will increase the demand for engineers, technicians and skilled workers.

He said that the country is moving forward with the goal of developed India by 2047. For this, large scale investments are being made in various sectors. Due to this, lakhs of new employment opportunities are being created for the youth.

The Prime Minister said that India is fast becoming an electronics manufacturing hub and the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain is being developed in the country. In the coming years, India’s 10 big semiconductor units will gain recognition at the global level and youth will play a big role in them.

Modi said that increasing connectivity in villages has opened up new opportunities for farmers, small traders and students. Referring to the increasing participation of women power, he said that today a large number of women-led startups are coming up and crores of women have received financial assistance under the Mudra scheme.

The Prime Minister called upon the youth to consider public service as a medium of national service and public service. It is noteworthy that till now about 12 lakh appointment letters have been distributed through 18 employment fairs organized across the country.

The 19th Employment Fair was organized at 47 places in the country. During this period, the selected candidates were appointed in various ministries and departments including the Ministry of Railways, Home, Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services and Department of Higher Education.
