PM expressed grief over the fire, announced assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the death of people in the fire incident in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. He expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
In a message released on social media platform X on Monday, the Prime Minister’s Office said that the Prime Minister is saddened by the loss of lives in the fire accident in Lucknow. He said that relief and rescue operations are going on and the local administration is providing all possible assistance to the affected people.
The Prime Minister has announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). Apart from this, financial assistance of Rs 50 thousand will be provided to each person injured in the accident.
