New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed happiness over meeting the National Security Advisors and senior security officials of the BRICS countries and stressed the important role of the grouping in dealing with global security challenges.
In his message released on the social media platform ‘X’, the Prime Minister said that in the changing global scenario, there is a need to further strengthen security cooperation among the BRICS countries. He said that the role of BRICS is extremely important in addressing common challenges like terrorism, cyber security and emerging technologies.
The Prime Minister said that during India’s presidency, work will be done to advance practical cooperation, support the priorities of the Global South and build a more secure, inclusive and balanced world order.
He said that in the current international circumstances, the need of the hour is to increase communication and coordination among the member countries. By strengthening cooperation on security related issues, effective solutions to common challenges can be found.
