Dhamtari: CGPSC SI recruitment exam held amidst tight security, 1599 candidates appeared.
- The examination was conducted peacefully at four examination centres.

Dhamtari. Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission’s preliminary selection examination for Subedar, Sub Inspector Cadre and Platoon Commander recruitment was held on Sunday amid tight security arrangements in four examination centers of the district. Candidates were allowed entry into the examination hall only after face verification and two-tier checking.
Babu Chhotalal Srivastava Government Post Graduate College in the district on Sunday for the preliminary selection examination for the recruitment of Subedar, Sub Inspector Cadre and Platoon Commander of CGPSC.
Government Narayan Rao Meghawale Girls College, Dr. Shobharam Dewangan Government Higher Secondary School and Government Nathuji Jagtap Municipal Corporation Higher Secondary School were made examination centres.
The examination was conducted from 10 am to 12 noon. Out of total 1785 registered candidates, 1599 appeared for the examination, while 186 candidates remained absent. As per CGPSC guidelines, it was mandatory for the candidates to reach the examination center wearing light colored half-sleeved clothes.
Candidates who arrived wearing dark colored clothes, full sleeve shirts or T-shirts and cargo pants were not given entry as per the rules. At the same time, shoes, thick soled and high heeled footwear, watches, purses, belts and electronic items were also kept outside the examination centre. New candidates were not allowed entry into the examination center after 9:45 am.
At the same time, all the candidates who were in the queue for face verification till the stipulated time were taken inside the center and the process of identity verification was completed. A two-level testing system remained in force at the examination centres. In the first phase, the teachers on duty did face verification by matching the admit card and identity card.
After this, in the second phase, the local police allowed the candidates to enter the examination hall after thorough checking with metal detectors. Entry into the examination hall was given only after all the prescribed procedures were completed.
In the examination, Chhattisgarhi Janula six month’s Randhe Bhaat, Jab Khabe Tab Taate Tat including statement-reason and matching questions, components of the solution principle prepared by the Government of India to deal with Naxalism, PESA law, origin of the word Halba.
Questions like Manchester of South India, National Waterway, Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana, which tissue is made of coconut husk, under which Act the police system was established in Chhattisgarh, length of cricket pitch, who issues digital signature under the IT Act were asked.
