Jharkhand gets railway projects worth Rs 3,907 crore, 14 lakh people will get direct benefits
- Central approval to railway projects worth Rs 3,907 crore.
- Paradip-Haridaspur railway line will be doubled.
- The fourth railway line will be built on Rajkharsawan-Dangoaposi railway section.
Ranchi. Union State Defense Minister cum Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth said that the approval of railway projects worth about Rs 3,907 crore related to Jharkhand and Odisha by the Union Cabinet is a big gift for Jharkhand.
He said that this is an important step for the development of both the states of Jharkhand and Odisha. Through a press release issued on Wednesday, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for this decision.
Sanjay Seth said that under the approved projects, doubling of Paradip-Haridaspur railway line and construction of fourth railway line on Rajkharsawan-Dangoaposi railway section will be done.
With the completion of these projects, rail operations will become smoother and freight capacity will increase. Also, industrial and mineral areas will get better rail connectivity.
This will also create new opportunities for industry, trade and employment in Jharkhand and Odisha. He said that these projects will benefit more than 14 lakh population of 1,526 villages of Jharkhand and Odisha.
Better rail connectivity will strengthen the regional economy and accelerate development. The minister said that Indian Railways is being modernized rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rejuvenation of railway stations, operation of new trains, expansion of passenger facilities and strengthening of infrastructure under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme reflects the development-oriented thinking of the Central Government. He said that historic development works are continuously taking place in the railway sector in Jharkhand and this approval is a big achievement for the state.
