Monsoon may become active again in Rajasthan, yellow alert issued in 15 districts
Jaipur. There are signs of increasing pace of monsoon once again in Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, rain activities may increase first in Eastern Rajasthan and then in Western Rajasthan. Meteorological Center Jaipur has issued a yellow alert of storm and rain in 15 districts of the state on Sunday.
During the last 24 hours, the maximum rainfall of 32 mm in the state occurred in Basava area of Dausa district. Apart from this, light rain also occurred in some areas of Alwar, Dholpur, Bundi and Kota.
However, during this monsoon season, the state has received about 25 percent less rainfall than normal so far, due to which the eyes of farmers and common people are fixed on the upcoming rains.
According to the Meteorological Department, the low pressure area over eastern India has weakened and has now turned into a cyclonic circulation system. The monsoon trough line is passing through Amritsar, Karnal and Ranchi.
Due to its effect, weak monsoon conditions may persist in most parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next two to three days, but from July 20 and 21, rain activities are expected to increase in some areas of Kota, Bharatpur, Jaipur and Ajmer divisions.
The Meteorological Department has also given relief news for Western Rajasthan. According to the department, there is a strong possibility of increase in rain activities in many areas of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions between July 22 and 28.
At present, only parts of Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh have received light rain in western Rajasthan. On the other hand, the effect of heat also persists in the state.
Sriganganagar continues to be the hottest district. Sriganganagar was the hottest place in the state for 9 out of the last 10 days. On Saturday, the maximum temperature was measured here at 42.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 31.3 degrees Celsius.
Whereas in Bikaner, the maximum temperature was recorded at 40.7 degree Celsius. Weather experts believe that due to improvement in monsoon activities in the coming week, rainy season may start in many districts of the state, due to which the temperature is expected to drop and Kharif crops will get relief.
