Uttarakhand: Somnath Swabhiman Parv Yatra of devotees completed, group of pilgrims reached Harrawala

Dehradun. The group of devotees of Somnath Swabhiman Parv Yatra, who left from Uttarakhand for Somnath Dham in Gujarat, reached Harravala railway station on Sunday morning. With this, the religious and cultural journey that lasted for several days came to an end.

Most of the devotees who returned from the yatra reached Haridwar Railway Station from Harrawala, from where the pilgrims from Haridwar district including various hilly districts of Kumaon and Garhwal division left for their respective destinations.

Pilgrims associated with Patanjali, Gayatri Tirtha Shantikunj and Parmarth Niketan also left for their destinations from Haridwar.

Devotees said that during the yatra, they got the opportunity to visit various religious and historical places including Somnath Temple, Ram Temple, Geeta Mandir (Shri Golokdham Tirtha), Banganga, Bhalka Tirtha, Triveni Sangam and Somnath Museum. On the occasion of Harela festival, devotees also planted saplings in the Sharda Peeth complex.

The devotees expressed their gratitude to the Culture Department of Gujarat Government and Uttarakhand Government for successfully organizing the Yatra and said that being a part of this Yatra was an unforgettable and spiritually satisfying experience for them. He said that the Somnath Swabhiman Parv Yatra made him experience immense peace, satisfaction and cultural unity.

A team of about 700 passengers was sent off from Uttarakhand on 13th July afternoon by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami from Harrawala railway station and the ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ special train journey concluded with reaching Harrawala on Sunday morning. During the yatra, devotees visited various religious places including Somnath.
