Noida. A newly married woman living in a society located in Sector 108 of Sector 39 police station area committed suicide by jumping from the 16th floor on Monday evening.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Noida, who reached the spot after receiving information about the incident, took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem. In this case, the brother of the deceased has filed a case against her husband accusing her of dowry death.
Inspector DP Shukla, in-charge of Police Station Sector 39, said that Kamini Kumari, wife of Manthan Dhiman, age 24, resident of Divine Meadows Society, Sector 108, committed suicide by jumping from the 16th floor of her flat on Monday evening.
He said that after receiving information about the incident, Sector 39 police station and forensic team reached the spot and investigated the matter. Investigation revealed that the woman was married a month ago.
He told that in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Central Noida Swatantra Kumar Singh, the body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Police station in-charge said that the deceased’s brother Shiv Kumar has lodged a report in this matter at Sector 39 police station on Monday night.
She alleges that her sister’s husband Manthan Dhiman was demanding additional dowry since the time of marriage and was harassing her sister. He said that the police are investigating the matter after registering a report of the incident.
