PM Modi's message on Partition Horrors Memorial Day

New Delhi. On Friday, on the occasion of Partition Horrors Memorial Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that I salute all those countrymen who came out of that gruesome period and made invaluable contribution to the progress of the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the social media platform ‘X’, “Today we are celebrating ‘Partition Horrors Memorial Day’. We remember the courage of all those who were affected by Partition.

This was a period of history which devastated many lives, destroyed families, people lost their loved ones and endured immense pain. PM Modi further said, “Overcoming these difficulties, people rebuilt their lives from scratch, transformed challenges into success and made a major contribution to the progress of the country. “Their journeys remind us of the power of the human will.”

He prayed that this day should strengthen our resolve to maintain mutual harmony and brotherhood in our country and we all work together towards building a ‘developed India’. In another post, PM Modi said, “On the Partition Memorial Day, my heartfelt salute to all those countrymen who emerged from that horrific period and made an invaluable contribution to the progress of the country. With their courage and strength, they showed how resolutions can be fulfilled even in adverse circumstances. Come, “Further strengthen the national spirit of goodwill and solidarity.”

On this occasion he also shared ‘Sanskrit Subhashitam’. He wrote, “Udyamasya Prasaden Drishyante Vividhaah Kalah. Katra Eva Jalpanti Yad Bhavyam Tad Bhavishyati.” It is said in ‘Sanskrit Subhashitam’, “It is only through hard work, enterprise and effort that various arts, sciences, technical skills, crafts and innovations develop and pave the way for success. Therefore, man should not rely on luck but should move towards his goal with courage, diligence and continuous effort because Effort is the creator of destiny.”
