Monsoon intensifies again in Madhya Pradesh, orange alert in 3 districts

Monsoon has once again gained momentum in Madhya Pradesh. Due to the active strong system from the Bay of Bengal, heavy rains will continue in the eastern part of the state for the next two days.

Its greater impact will be seen in Jabalpur, Shahdol, Rewa and Sagar divisions. After this, the system will move towards the western part and will bring rain in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram and Gwalior-Chambal divisions.

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of extremely heavy rain in Sidhi, Mauganj and Dindori on Monday. These districts may receive 4 to 8 inches of rain during the next 24 hours.

There is a warning of heavy rain in Satna, Panna, Damoh, Katni, Shahdol, Anuppur, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Mandla and Balaghat.

Bhopal, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Indore, Dhar, Alirajpur, Burhanpur, Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone, Jhabua, Ujjain, Neemuch, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Shajapur, Dewas, Ratlam, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda.

There is a possibility of heavy and light rain at some places in Gwalior, Guna, Shivpuri, Datia, Ashoknagar, Morena, Bhind, Sheopur, Chhindwara, Mandla, Pandhurna, Rewa, Singrauli, Maihar, Umaria, Sagar, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari.

Impact in Bhopal, Gwalior-Chambal from 17th to 19th August
According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of the current system will also be visible in Bhopal, Gwalior and Chambal divisions. There is an alert of heavy rain in some districts of these divisions on 17, 18 and 19 August.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a period of rain in both the eastern and western parts of the state from August 15 to 21. There will be heavy rain in the eastern part from 15 to 19 August, while after this the rain activities will increase in the western part.

21.4 inches of rain so far in the state
According to the Meteorological Center, till now 544.4 mm i.e. 21.4 inches of rain has fallen in the state. This is about 3 inches less than the normal rainfall of 618.8 mm i.e. 24.4 inches.

Overall, there has been 12 percent less rainfall in the state so far. 18 percent rainfall in the eastern part and 6 percent rainfall in the western part is below normal.

In Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar and Shahdol divisions of the eastern part, rainfall has reduced by 19 percent. Balaghat, Chhatarpur, Chhindwara, Damoh, Dindori, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Mandla, Mauganj, Narsinghpur, Niwari, Pandhurna, Panna.

Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Seoni, Shahdol, Sidhi, Singrauli, Tikamgarh and Umaria have recorded less rainfall ranging from 2 percent to 54 percent. Whereas in the western part, Agar-Malwa, Alirajpur, Ashoknagar, Betul, Datia, Dhar.

Harda, Indore, Jhabua, Morena, Mandsaur, Narmadapuram, Neemuch, Raisen, Ratlam, Shajapur, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Ujjain and Vidisha have received less rainfall ranging from 1 percent to 48 percent.

Whereas Bhopal, Guna, Sehore, Rajgarh, Gwalior, Anuppur, Bhind, Burhanpur, Dewas, Barwani, Khandwa and Khargone have recorded more than average rainfall so far.
