Hormuz: US President Donald Trump posted, “The US is currently attacking Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz. These strikes are massive and forceful. These strikes are a response to Iran’s actions in its failed attempt to lay sea mines in the Strait (there are no longer any mines there – they have been completely removed or destroyed!). And eight missiles were fired at our military base in Jordan, which were successfully shot down. If the failed country responds to this completely justified attack, it will be attacked even more, but it will not be the biggest attack of all; the biggest attack is yet to happen, and when that happens, very little of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be left.
Iran warned – will give severe punishment
A spokesman for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said the US would regret its new attacks. “The attackers will be severely punished; the US will regret its new attacks,” Guards spokesman Hossein Mohebbi said in a post on X after explosions were heard in several areas near Hormuz and east of it. Several explosions were heard near the strategically important Strait of Hormuz in the south of the country, Iranian state television reported.
“Several explosions were heard east of Bandar Abbas and around Qeshm Island,” state television reported. It was also said that no incident or damage has been reported so far in the southern Hormozgan province. Even after six months of war, both the enemies have not been able to reach any conclusion; Iran has kept the strategic Strait of Hormuz closed and the US continues a counter-blockade of Iranian ports. The US launched its first known attack on Iran in weeks, targeting an Iranian island in the Strait of Hormuz.
