How to make Makhana Kheer
Step 1: To make Makhana Kheer, first prepare saffron milk. Crush the saffron well and then add it to half a cup of milk and mix well and keep it for further use.

Step 2: Now, place the pan on the gas and add ghee in it. When the ghee becomes hot, roast all the dry fruits like cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios and chironji well one by one. When the dry fruits are roasted, roast them in the Makhana in the same pan on medium flame until they become crisp. If you run out of ghee in the pan, use it. Now, after roasting, grind the makhana in a mixer. Keep in mind that the makhana should not be fine, hence run the mixer only on plus mode.

Step 3: Now pour one liter milk in a deep vessel and heat it thoroughly. When the milk becomes hot, add powdered makhana into it. Now keep stirring it continuously on medium flame. Keep stirring the milk continuously so that it does not stick to the vessel.

Fourth step: When the milk starts thickening, mash the makhana well with the help of a masher. After some time, add cardamom powder, rose water, roasted dry fruits, saffron milk and sugar and mix well once again.

Fifth Step: In a few minutes you will see that your Makhana Rabdi style kheer is ready. Take it out in a serving plate and offer it to Kanha.
