New Delhi. There are chances of isolated heavy rainfall with strong winds during the next 5-7 days from North-West region to South peninsular regions. At the same time, Delhi-NCR may also receive light to moderate rain in the next three days.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there are chances of light to moderate rain with strong winds at many places in Delhi-NCR from Saturday morning till noon. There may be another round of light to moderate rain at some places during afternoon and evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures of this day are likely to remain between 29-31 degrees Celsius and 24-26 degrees Celsius respectively. There is a possibility of light rain on Sunday also. The maximum and minimum temperatures of the capital are likely to remain between 31-33 degrees Celsius and 22-24 degrees Celsius respectively. The same situation is expected to persist on Monday also. The weather has become more pleasant than before due to light to moderate rain in Delhi-NCIR on Friday.
According to IMD, due to the ‘well marked low-pressure area’ formed over central parts of northern Madhya Pradesh and adjoining southern Uttar Pradesh, there is a possibility of very heavy rain over East Rajasthan and Western Madhya Pradesh on September 5.
Rain activity is likely to remain low over Peninsular India for the next 6-7 days. There are chances of heavy rains in the north-west areas during 4-5 days. There is a possibility of isolated heavy rain over Central India over Western Madhya Pradesh on 6 September and over East Madhya Pradesh during 5-8 September.
In East India, isolated heavy rains are likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during September 4-8, West Bengal along the Gangetic plains during September 4 and 8-9, Jharkhand on September 9, Bihar during September 5-8 and Odisha during September 9-10.
Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Northeast India during the next 6-7 days. Heavy rains may also occur in Western India and South Peninsular India during this period. Meanwhile, stormy winds may also blow in all areas.
