Nepal’s Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will attend several important diplomatic and bilateral meetings on Friday, the second day of his three-day visit to India.
Earlier on Thursday, Finance Minister Wagle, who visited India, held a bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman the same evening.
This morning, on the second day of the visit, Finance Minister Wagle will attend the high-level diplomatic dialogue program organized by former Indian Foreign Secretary Shyam Sharan as the chief guest. He will present his views in this program organized at India International Center in New Delhi.
Today at 5 pm, Finance Minister Wagle will meet Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. A meeting with Jaishankar is scheduled. Bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest are likely to be discussed between the two.
Finance Minister Wagle will also attend a comprehensive meeting organized by Javed Ashraf, Chairman of India Trade Promotion Organisation. In this program to be held at Bharat Mandapam, there will be high level discussions on various aspects of Nepal-India economic cooperation.
The Nepalese delegation led by Finance Minister Wagle includes Amrit Lamsal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Gehendra Rajbhandari, Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Dr. Surendra Thapa, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Nepalese Embassy in New Delhi, Economic Minister Taranath Adhikari and Kanchan Basnet, Personal Deputy Secretary to the Finance Minister.
On Saturday, the third and final day of the visit, Finance Minister Wagle will meet representatives of the private sector as well as other high level officials. After this, the Nepali delegation is scheduled to return home.
