Aichi-Nagoya. India won its third medal in shooting at the 2026 Asian Games on Monday.
The Indian trio of Himanshu Dhillon, Parth Mane and Rudranksh Patil won the silver medal in the men’s 10m air rifle team event. The Indian team stood second after China.
Earlier on Sunday, Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Uttam Maskar and Vidarsaa K. Vinod had won the silver medal in the women’s 10 meter air rifle team event. After this, Elavenil also won a silver medal in the individual event and gave India its second medal in shooting.
Another medal for India is also confirmed in mixed martial arts. Suchika Tariyal has ensured at least a bronze medal by reaching the semi-finals of the women’s traditional 60 kg category.
According to the information available on Monday, India is at 10th place in the medal table. China tops the tally with 21 medals, including 12 gold medals.
