World Championship: There has been a dispute between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the organizers of the tournament during the World Championship of Legends 2026. PCB had set some conditions for giving permission to play (NOC) to the Pakistan Champions team, which the organizers have flatly refused to accept. Due to this tussle, Pakistan team is now out of this tournament. Pakistan’s first two matches were cancelled.
PCB put two conditions before WCL management
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had set two conditions for granting approval (NOC) to play the match. The first condition was that if Indian players do not play in this tournament, they will not face any problem. The second condition was that the Indian players would have to apologize in writing for not playing the match last year and would have to agree to the condition of both the teams shaking hands on the field.
WCL refused to accept the condition
The organizers of the tournament have clearly refused to accept the conditions of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). They say that they cannot forcibly impose such conditions on any team or player. The organizers agreed to the monetary issues, but rejected the condition of apology and handshake from the Indian players. The organizers have made it clear that they will not accept these strange conditions of PCB. For this reason, Pakistan team is now out of the tournament.
Pakistan’s first two matches were canceled
