Pratika Rawal will replace Jemimah Rodrigues in the Indian squad for the Asian Games 2026.
This comes after a hamstring injury has sidelined the Indian middle-order mainstay since her stint with Southern Brave at The Hundred early last month
Pratika Rawal made her debut in T20Is during the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup. She has registered scores of 22, 10 and 4 in three games so far. The thinktank has slotted her in the no.3 position.
Her call-up to the Asia Cup came in the way of a proposed stint with Warwickshire in the English women’s domestic circuit, particularly for the Metro Bank One Day Cup.
Pratika had not played a competitive T20 fixture since 2024, partially due to a prolonged injury layoff after fracturing her ankle in a match against Bangladesh during the Women’s ODI World Cup in 2025. She is also yet to feature in the Women’s Premier League, but had been picked up by UP Warriorz for Rs. 50 Lakh in the auctions preceding the 2026 season.
