Jemimah Rodrigues was not named in the playing XI for the Women’s Asia Cup semifinal between India and Bangladesh happening at the Dubai International Stadium on Thursday.
She has not been part of the squad for all the Asia Cup fixtures so far after she was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. The injury was sustained while playing for Southern Brave in The Hundred in England. The Mumbai batter was also ruled out of the upcoming Asian Games 2026.

The BCCI Women’s Selection Committee thereafter picked Pratika Rawal as Jemimah’s replacement for the Asia Cup.
Pratika has played all three matches so far in the Asia Cup. Against Thailand, which was her maiden T20I appearance, she made a 22-ball 18. The Delhi batter followed it up with scores of 10 and 4 against Hong Kong and Pakistan respectively.
India entered the semifinals of the Asia Cup after notching three consecutive wins in the group stage.
