UP Warriorz came into the WPL 2027 auction with the most work at hand and signed eight players in Kochi on Wednesday.
The franchise spent Rs. 1.10 crore on Sophie Molineux, making her the most expensive pick of this edition’s auction. The Meg Lanning-led side also roped in internationals Grace Harris, Sneh Rana, Sushma Verma, and Asha Sobhana.
However, coach Abhishek Nayar is still left with figuring out a playing combination, especially the four overseas picks.
