cricket updates: In the men's cricket final of the Asian Games 2026 played in Nissin, Japan, the Indian cricket team won the gold medal by defeating Pakistan by 19 runs. Batting first, India scored 211 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Pakistan team could not reach the target in the stipulated overs and India registered a spectacular victory. This is India's 19th gold in the Asian Games 2026.

India made a big score of 211 runs

After winning the toss, the Indian team came to bat first and scored runs in an aggressive manner. The batsmen maintained pressure on Pakistan's bowlers and scored a strong score of 211 runs in 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma played the biggest inning of 61 runs for India. Tilak played an unbeaten inning of 51 runs and thanks to Shivam Dubey's quick inning of 27 runs in 15 balls, Team India was successful in setting the target of 212 runs for Pakistan.

Hasan Nawaz played an inning of 97 runs

Chasing the target, Pakistan scored 192/6. The batting started well, captain Sahibzada Farhan and opener Sadaqat added 33 runs for the first wicket. Farhan became the victim of Sundar in the fourth over. Akshar Patel's spin showed the way to the pavilion to wicketkeeper Usman in the 5th over and to Sadaqat in the 7th over. Pakistan became 42/3 till the seventh over. There was a partnership of 87 runs between Hasan Nawaz and Saim Ayub for the fourth wicket. Ayub, who was playing at the score of 29 in the 15th over, was walked by Shivam Dubey. Nawaz played a brilliant inning of 96 runs and his wicket went to Dubey on the last ball of the innings.
