On Tuesday, Indian athletes won three medals, which include one gold, one silver and one bronze. With this, India's total number of medals has increased to 48. India has so far won 5 gold, 21 silver and 22 bronze and is at 12th position in the medal table.
Neeru Dhanda made record, won gold
The biggest news of the day for India came from the shooting range. Neeru Dhanda created history by winning the gold medal in the women's trap event. She has become the first Indian woman shooter to win gold in the Asian Games in this event. In the final, Neeru shot brilliantly and also made a new Asian record. In the final of 30 shots, he hit 28 targets correctly. China's Sun Yunong came second with 26 hits and had to settle for silver, while Kuwait's Hajar Abdulmalik got bronze.

Women's trap team won silver
Along with Neeru's gold, the women's trap team also won a silver medal for the country. The trio of Neeru Dhanda (118), Ashima Ahlawat (106) and Manisha Keer (104) scored a total of 328 points. China's team took the gold with 346 points, while Kuwait finished third. Not only this, India also got a medal in boxing. In the men's 90 kg category, Narendra Berwal had to be satisfied with the bronze medal after losing in the semi-finals. He was defeated 5-0 by current world champion Aybek Oralbay.
Parveen and Ankush one step away from gold
Two more good news have emerged for India in boxing. Let us tell you, Parveen Hooda and Ankush Panghal have made it to the finals and are just one win away from gold. Parveen Hooda defeated China's Li Shu 5-0 unilaterally in the semi-finals of 65 kg category. With this, she has become the third Indian woman boxer to reach the final of the Asian Games. Before her, MC Mary Kom and Lovlina Borgohain had done this feat. At the same time, in the men's 80 kg category, Ankush Panghal made a brilliant comeback by defeating Fazaluddin Erkinboev of Uzbekistan 4-1. Erkinboev is the current world champion in the 75 kg category.
