Asian Games 2026: India's dominance continues in Asian Games, Roshibina won second silver, Satnam-Salman pair won bronze.

Leaving behind the controversies surrounding her selection in the Indian team for the Asian Games, star Wushu player Roshibina Devi won a silver medal in the women's 60kg 'Sanda' event on Thursday. 25-year-old Roshibina suffered a 0-2 defeat at the hands of China's Zhang Xiaoyu in the final. Roshbina's third medal in Asian Games

This is Roshibina's third medal in the Asian Games. He won a silver medal at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games and a bronze medal at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. Roshibina was defeated by young Divyanshi Choudhary in the selection trials, but after Divyanshi got injured, Roshibina was included in the Indian team. After being dropped from the Indian team, Divyanshi had accused Roshibina of harassment. Roshibina also defeated 2023 world champion Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy of Vietnam in her journey to the final. Apart from him, no other Wushu player from India was successful in winning a medal.

Satnam-Salman won bronze in rowing

Indian rowers Satnam Singh and Salman Khan won the bronze medal in the men's double sculls event of the Asian Games here on Thursday. The Indian pair stood second till 1,500 meters but slipped to third place in the last 500 metres. Both clocked a timing of six minutes 13.25 seconds on the Nagaragawa International Regatta Course. China's Yi Shudi and Yide Ni won the gold medal with a timing of 6 minutes 09.37 seconds. Uzbekistan's Pavel Sorin and Mekhrozbek Mamatkulov won the silver medal by completing the race in six minutes 10.49 seconds.

The Indian pair finished 3.88 seconds behind the gold medal winners. Satnam had won a bronze medal in the men's quadruple sculls at the Hangzhou Asian Games. With this medal, his number of Asian Games medals has increased to two. Earlier, India missed another medal in rowing by a narrow margin.
