Lucknow: There are now preparations to establish two new hi-tech cities around Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow Development Authority (LDA)'s long discussed Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar residential schemes are going to be inaugurated on September 24. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself will inaugurate both these ambitious projects. The booking process of about 3000 plots will also start from this day. Along with this, the Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Park View, Lake View, Aishbagh, Vageshwari and Aditi Apartment projects to be built near Agra Expressway. About 10 thousand people are likely to get housing facilities through all these projects.
Know what is Varun Vihar Scheme
Varun Vihar, LDA's biggest residential scheme, is being developed on about 6,580 acres of land near Agra Expressway. This project will be divided into a total of 25 sectors, under which there is a plan to sell more than 15 thousand plots. Green belts, parks and water bodies will be developed in an area of about 980 acres, while an international level golf course will also be built here. Apart from this, logistics park, underground cable network and modern infrastructure have been included.
The scheme will be known for its excellent connectivity due to its location close to the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and Mohan Road, which will directly connect to the expressway, Kisan Path and Outer Ring Road.
Naimish Nagar will become the new center of North Lucknow
Naimish Nagar Yojana, spread over about 3,681 acres on Sitapur Road, is going to become the new residential and economic hub of the northern part of Lucknow. Modern facilities like parks, green belts, schools, hospitals, community centres, sewage treatment plants and solid waste management will be provided here along with wide roads.
According to LDA, in future this scheme will provide housing facilities to about 3 lakh people. For this, about 1,486 hectares of land has already been identified in 18 villages of BKT tehsil.
Foundation stone of these apartments will also be laid
The Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Park View in Basant Kunj, Lake View in Gomti Nagar, Vageshwari in Sharda Nagar Extension, Aditi in Anant Nagar and Aishbagh Square Apartment projects in Mill Road Aishbagh. People wishing to buy land in Lucknow can apply by visiting the LDA portal from 24th September 2026 i.e. from today itself. Around 5000 plots of different sizes will be available, booking of which will be done through a transparent lottery system.
