New Delhi: Before leaving the plains of the country, the monsoon seems to be active once again with full force. Due to the weather system formed in the Bay of Bengal and the active western disturbance in the Himalayan region, a warning of rain has been issued from Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh to Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh for the next 3 to 4 days.
There are chances of rain and lightning for three consecutive days from September 25 in the capital Delhi, due to which the weather pattern can change completely. Rain will continue in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Awadh region including Lucknow-Kanpur. Eastern UP may receive heavy to very heavy rains between September 25-26, while Western UP may receive heavy to very heavy rains between September 25 and 27. Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab will also see rain after September 25. Although monsoon has completely departed from Western Rajasthan, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Eastern Rajasthan from 24 to 27 September.
Snowfall on the mountains, heavy rain in the plains
Due to the impact of western disturbance, there may be light to heavy rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between 26, 27 and 29 September. There is a possibility of rain in areas like Manali, Solan, Mandi and Shimla in Himachal. Strong storm with speed of 40-50 km per hour may occur in Uttarakhand from 25 to 27 September.
The system originating from the Bay of Bengal will also affect Central India. Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are expected to see heavy rains with strong winds of 50-60 km per hour from September 24 to 29. Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Vidarbha regions may also see heavy rain during this period.
Monsoon will be active in eastern India also
An alert of heavy rain and strong winds has also been issued in Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar between September 23 and 27. At the same time, the deep pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal has crossed the coasts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, due to which heavy to very heavy rains may occur in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana for the next three days. The Meteorological Department has advised caution in a total of 15 states.
